Kemba Walker (rest) out vs Cavaliers

Kemba Walker won't be in the lineup Wednesday, as the Celtics face the Cleveland Cavaliers on a second night of a back-to-back.

Walker, who finished with 16 points and five assists in the the team's 117-109 loss to the Jazz at home, played 34 minutes Tuesday night.

The Celtics will head back to TD Garden for a two-game homestand beginning on Friday before heading out on the road next week. Walker has played well after having at least two days off (20.1 points on 42.7% shooting), versus one-day of rest (17.6 points on 37.2% from the field).

As far as back-to-back goes, the Celtics have six of those remaining for the rest of the regular season, including Magic-Grizzlies and Bucks-Thunder next week on the road -- Boston is scheduled to play five-games in seven days.

According to the the Celtics injury report, Tristian Thompson and Romeo Langford also remain in health and safety protocol. It is unknow how long they will be out and if they tested positive for COVID-19 or if it's due to contact tracing.

Thompson was placed into league protocol following the team's win over the Houston Rockets, while Langford has been out since the All-Star break ended.

The Celtics and Cavaliers tip-off tonight at 8 PM EST from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
