Celtics fortunate they didn't 'roll the dice on DeMarcus Cousins'


It was in the spring of 2015 that I heard the Boston Globe's Bob Ryan emphatically state he would personally pick up DeMarcus Cousins at the airport if Danny Ainge worked a trade for him. Cousins was with the Sacramento Kings at the time, and Ryan was among many others that wanted the star center in Boston.

On Monday Team USA took their talent to Sydney, Australia where they bounced back to beat Canada 84-68 at the Qudos Bank Arena, in the final exhibition game ahead of the FIBA World Cup.

Gregg Popovich's faith in 'Team Shamrock' bodes well for Celtics season


Team USA Coach Gregg Popovich has made the final cut to the roster that will head for China in FIBA World Cup competition. Kyle Kuzma was the final casualty, leaving the team reportedly because of an ankle injury.

Team USA falls to Australia 98-94 in exhibition, roster finalized


Australia got their revenge on Saturday morning after beating Team USA 98-94 in front of their home crowd of over 52,000 at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium.

Celtics guard Marcus Smart did not practice on Tuesday with Team USA after removing himself from morning workouts in Las Vegas due to a sore left ankle.
