Celtics 108 - Nets 105: Kyrie Irving, Celtics hold off Brooklyn
The Celtics will head into 2018 in style, capping off 2017 with their 30th win of the season as they prevented the Nets from closing the gap in the final minute of Sunday's game.
Brooklyn came within one 3-pointer of tying the game but fell short as the Celtics closed out their New Years Eve matchup with a 108-105 win against the Nets.

It was certainly a crazy 2017 for Celtics fans, as they enjoyed the emergence of a super-star in Isaiah Thomas, only to see him be traded for a taller, NBA champion version point guard in Kyrie Irving to wrap up the last four months.
It was without a doubt a year that will not be forgotten any time soon.

Two nights ago it was Irving's back-to-back 3-pointers in less than a minute that put his team in a game-winning situation against the Pacers. Terry Rozier made a game-winning steal/dunk, and on Wednesday night against the Heat it was Irving's 22-point fourth quarter performance that gave the Celtics a chance pull off yet another upset.
