Bradley, Thomas: Two friends reunited

USA TODAY

Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas have been friends since way before they first stepped foot on an NBA basketball court.

The Washington natives who grew up in the same Tacoma neighborhood are now teammates in Boston, trying to push the C's to a playoff berth in April.

Thomas talked about his relationship with Bradley in Steve Bulpett's Boston Herald story about how much he looks forward to playing in Boston alongside his old buddy.

After losing in Los Angeles in a tough one on Sunday, the C's looked to rebound in the desert in a big way especially after Isaiah Thomas was traded by the Suns just four days prior. Thomas and the rest of his new teammates torched the home team in a 115-110 victory.

Los Angeles - The Celtics came into the Staples Center looking to sweep the season series against the 'rival' Lakers on Sunday night. After word got out that Jared Sullinger would miss the remainder of the season with a left foot stress fracture, Isaiah Thomas was set to make his debut in a big way.

Despite Avery Bradley's buzzer-beating 3-pointer to send the game to overtime, it was Jermey Lin who led L.A. to a 118-111 victory over the C's for their second straight loss.

Celtics Deadline Surprise: Isaiah Thomas now a Celtic

After all the rumors it seemed as though the Boston Celtics were going to stand pat at the trade deadline and go after the 8th seed in the conference as constituted. Then 3 PM came around and everything changed as the Celtics were one of many teams who waited until the last possible second to pull the trigger on a deal before the trade deadline.

C's Options at the Deadline: Dragic vs. Thomas, Ainge vs. McDonough

Danny Ainge may be calling in yet another favor from an old friend, as rumors have emerged about the Celtics apparent interest in the Goran Dragic sweepstakes.  Suns GM Ryan McDonough, and former assistant GM under Ainge in Boston could be working out a trade for the disgruntled point guard.

Dragic’ camp has leaked news that he will not re-sign with the Phoenix Suns next year, which diminishes all leverage McDonough had in dangling Dragic for a huge return.

Cousins to the Celtics: Realistic Rumor or Shenanigans?

Photo: Getty Images

“Name your price Sacramento,” said every Celtics fan drooling over the possibility of DeMarcus Cousins in a Celtics uniform.

Rumors have been stirring about talks between the Celtics and Kings Management about a possible deal for the All-Star Power Forward. I am thrilled to hear that Danny Ainge is in buyer mode as opposed to selling.

Celtics should be monitoring Isaiah Thomas situation in Phoenix

Photo: Associated Press

If the Phoenix Suns are looking to deal point guard Isaiah Thomas before Thursday's NBA trading deadline, then the Celtics should look into acquiring the young talented guard.

The Suns have plenty of depth at the point guard position with Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic. Dragic will be a restricted free agent this summer, and despite rumors about Phoenix wanting to trade Dragic, ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the Suns would rather trade Thomas.

Tommy Heinsohn will head back to Springfield, Massachusetts this year when he is inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a coach.

It will be the second time the Celtics legend has been enshrined into the Hall. Heinsohn was first elected in 1986, as a player. Tommy joins John Wooden, Lenny Wilkins and Celtics great Bill Sharman as the only fourth person be inducted into the Hall as a player and a coach.

Bucks 96 - Celtics 93: Bucks hold on in the fourth, beat C's

Photo: Associated Press

Brandon Knight made the biggest shot of the game towards the end of the fourth quarter, and sealed a 96-93, Bucks win over the Celtics at the BMO Bradley Center.

Knight scored a game-high 26 points for Milwaukee, and Giannis Antetokounmpo had 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Six players once again scored in double digits for the Celtics. Led by Jared Sullinger's 17 to go with his 7 rebounds and 7 assists, the C's didn't hold a single lead against the Bucks but stayed close behind in the fourth quarter. Marcus Thornton scored 14 points, including three from long distance, and Marcus Smart scored 13 to go with his 5 rebounds.

After Milwaukee's John Henson was called for defensive goaltending, Jae Crowder scored a layup on the other end and cut Milwaukee's lead to one, 94-93, with 30 seconds left.
