After Isaiah Thomas was named to the 2016 Eastern All-Star team on Thursday, a close friend came to Boston to watch the Celtics take on the Magic at TD Garden.

Thomas, Smart heading to Toronto



For the first time in his career, Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas has been selected as an All-Star reserve for the Eastern Conference. The 60th overall pick (last player selected) of the 2011 draft, joins Hall-of-famer Calvin Murphy as the only 5-foot-9 or under player to ever be selected to an NBA All-Star game.

Celtics 111 - Nuggets 103: Celtics beat Nuggets, Stretch four-game win streak



Forcing a total of 21 turnovers, the Celtics led the Nuggets throughout the final three quarters en route to a 111-103 victory at TD Garden.

After the Raptors opened up a 13-point lead in the first half, Celtics coach Brad Stevens turned to his bench, but it wasn't enough to counter DeMar DeRozan who scored 22 second-half points en route to a 115-109 Raptors victory.

The Celtics overcame a 17-point deficit, converted clutch fourth-quarter baskets and forced overtime -- where the Mavericks knocked down four 3-pointers to beat the Celtics in a 118-113 win in Dallas.

Should the Celtics be sellers at the deadline?



The Celtics are 19-17 and tied for the final spot in Eastern Conference playoffs. Recent home losses to the Nets, Lakers, Pistons and now the Bulls on the road have some players upset over rotations and fans are starting to get mad about inconsistency. Being in the postseason picture, you would assume the C's might look to bolster their team for a playoff run, especially in the east which only has one true elite team. But it may actually be beneficial for Boston to look to sell.

Bulls 101 - Celtics 92: Rose, Gasol lead the way past C's



On a night where the Celtics were held to only 35.7-percent shooting, the Bulls took advantage  by erasing a 10-point deficit, took a 48-47 lead into halftime and never looked back as they beat the C's 101-92 at the United Center on Thursday night's nationally televised game.

Inconsistent C’s the Theme of 2016



After another maddening home defeat to the Detroit Pistons and many Celtics faithful are left with that bitter taste of mediocrity in their mouths. Boston led by as many as 13-points against an improved Pistons roster of second tier stars (much like the C's themselves) and ultimately dropped another game that they have no excuse for losing.
