Celtics 108 - Spurs 94: Kyrie Irving leads C's to fifth consecutive win


Although it took 12 tries, the Celtics finally defeated the Spurs for the first time since 2011.

Kyrie Irving shined throughout the night on both ends of the floor, leading the Celtics to a second-half rout before the Spurs pulled closer before the final buzzer for a respectable 14-point loss, 108-94.

Celtics Pregame: Marcus Morris sent to G-League for assignment


Marcus Morris, who was looking to make his regular season debut against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, has been sent for assignment to the G-League.

According to ESPN, coach Brad Stevens suggested the Celtics forward needed a "good hard practice" before playing in his first real game.

Report: Celtics granted disabled-player exception by NBA for Gordon Hayward


The NBA have granted the Celtics with an $8.4 million disabled-player exception for Gordon Hayward's leg injury.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, Danny Ainge can use the DPE to sign a free agent or trade for a player in the final year of their contract by March 10 deadline.

Al Horford and Kyrie Irving spoiled the Bucks' 'Throwback Thursday' night, while leading the Celtics to a 96-89 victory. The two franchises played at the legendary UW-Milwaukee Partner Arena, formerly known as the MECCA, for the first time since 1988.

Terry Rozier is having the best start of the regular season than he's ever had since entering the NBA two years ago.

Celtics 102 - 76ers 92: Kyrie Irving, Shane Larkin lead 4th quarter run in first win of the season


The Celtics and 76ers entered the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia thirsty for their first win of the season Friday night and needless to say both teams turned in one of the uglier basketball games you're going to see this year.

But as the old saying goes, "a win's a win," and for a beaten and battered Celtics team, it was one they desperately needed as they topped the 76ers, 102-92 and escaped a 0-3 start to their 2017-18 campaign.

Just five minutes into his Celtics debut and Gordon Hayward was taken out on a stretcher after falling on his left ankle, while attempting to catch an alley-oop pass from teammate Kyrie Irving.

Marcus Smart is entering year four of his rookie deal and while he is currently the longest tenured Celtic, the veteran guard will like to remain in Boston, long-term.

According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, Smart informed him on Monday that his agent, Happy Walters, has yet to hear from the Celtics front office on a possible contract extension.

Kyrie Irving leads Celtics to 110-102 win over Sixers


The Celtics are now 2-0 in preseason play after pulling away from the Philadelphia Sixers in the second half, for a 110-102 win at the Wells Fargo Center.

Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including going 5-7 from behind the arc for the Celtics first road victory.

Marcus & Markieff Morris found not guilty in aggravated assault trial


Celtics forward Marcus Morris and twin brother Markieff were found not guilty of aggravated assault charges in a Maricopa County District Court in Phoenix, Arizona.

Former USC football Gerald Bowman, who was arrested in connection to the night in question back in 2015, was also found not guilty.
