Brad Stevens on the postseason 'I love playing games with everything on the line'

The Celtics are getting ready for their first round matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks and while there's less than 48-hours before the playoffs series tips-off, Sunday can't come soon enough for coach Brad Stevens.

As Stevens gears up for his fourth consecutive postseason run with the Celtics in his fifth overall year in Boston, this season's coach of the year nominee is excited to get the postseason started.

“I love playing games with everything on the line,” he told reporters after the team’s practice on Friday afternoon. “I think that’s a blast. I loved it in college, love it here. It’s a great opportunity. I love to see different guys step up. I love to see narratives busted. There’s a lot that I really love about the postseason.”
Stevens was thrilled to share similar sentiments following the Celtics season finale win over the Nets on Wednesday night.
“It’s an absolute blast to get a chance to compete in the playoffs,” he said. “And that’s what you work for. It’s what you work for as a staff. It’s what you work for as a team. And the players put in an incredible amount of energy throughout the entire season and had a great regular season. And now…they get to enjoy the opportunity to compete at the highest level.”
The Celtics and Bucks kick-off Game 1 of their playoff series at the Garden on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. EST.
