Five Celtics among top-10 Eastern Conference All-Star early voting returns


There are five Celtics players that represent the top-10 of Eastern Conferance guards and frontcourt players, as early NBA All-Star voting returns were revealed Thursday.

Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker and, yes even Tacko Fall have all received votes from fans so far.


Walker, who leads the Celtics in scoring (22.5) and assists (5.2) has earned the third most votes among guards, behind the Hawks' Trae Young and Net's Kyrie Irving (has only played 11 games). Brown currently sits in seventh among East guards.

Tatum is in fifth when it comes to the Eastern frontcourt votes, behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Pascal Siakam and Jimmy Butler.

Right under Tatum in sixth is Celtics rookie Tacko Fall, who has spent the majority of his season in Maine with the team's G-League affiliated Red Claws, while Gordon Hayward is eighth.


Fan voting will end on Jan. 20, while the starters and team captains are going to be announced on Jan 23. The reserves will be revealed on Jan 30, which will be selected by NBA coaches. This year's All-Star game will be played on Feb. 16 in Chicago.
