Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier duo lead short-handed Celtics to win over Philly
The Celtics are confident that they are equipped with the kind of roster depth that can impact a game whenever an opportunity presents itself.
That opportunity came Monday night when Brad Stevens elected to sit Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and Al Horford. Against a Philadelphia 76ers team playing without Joel Embiid and J.J. Reddick, the young Celtics impressively controlled the game from start to finish.

Kyrie Irving leads Celtics to 110-102 win over Sixers
The Celtics are now 2-0 in preseason play after pulling away from the Philadelphia Sixers in the second half, for a 110-102 win at the Wells Fargo Center.
Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including going 5-7 from behind the arc for the Celtics first road victory.

Jayson Tatum hits game winner in summer league debut, Celtics top 76ers, 89-88
For the first time since his high school days, Jaylen Brown scored 29 points in a game -- which led all scorers in the Celtics' first game of the Utah Summer League -- but it was Jayson Tatum's go-ahead jump shot with 5.7 seconds left that propelled the Celtics to an 89-88 victory.

Josh Jackson: It was 'too late' to work out with the Celtics
Josh Jackson said he did not work out with the Celtics due to not having enough time after Boston agreed to trade the No. 1 pick to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The deal, which was finalized on Monday, saw the Sixers send the No. 3 pick to Boston. Jackson was scheduled to work out with the Celtics on Tuesday, but it never happened.

According to ESPN, potential top-overall draft choice Markelle Fultz is expected to meet with the Boston Celtics on Monday and Tuesday.
Fultz will meet the C's brass and have a full physical and medical testing on Monday followed by a work out with the team on Tuesday.
