Kyrie Irving (left knee) out against the Bulls

The Celtics will be without Kyrie Irving in their lineup against the Bulls on Monday night.

The All-Star point guard is experiencing soreness in his left knee, according to Brad Stevens, that will keep him out against the Bulls. The Celtics, winners of four of their last five, will look to bounce back from their loss against the Rockets on Saturday without him.

Irving most likely felt discomfort after Saturday's game and there's no word on if missing Monday's tilt is a precautionary approach or if Irving will miss the rest of the three-game road trip that concludes Thursday night in Minneapolis.

The Celtics released their injury report late Monday morning -- ruling Irving out and listing Daniel Theis as probable against Chicago.
