Daniel Theis ruled out (sore right hamstring) against Hornets

Celtics big man Daniel Theis has been ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the Hornets.

After he was initially labeled as probable due to a sore right hamstring, Theis will sit out for against Charlotte, according to NBC Sports Boston's A. Sherrod Blakely.

Heading into Wednesday's game, Theis had strung together three valuable performances since the All-Star break, helping Boston through its three-game winning streak. With Theis out, anticipate Greg Monore's name to be called early and often against the Hornets as the newest member of the Celtics continues to adapt to Brad Stevens' system.

Monroe is coming off his first active-DNP since joining the Celtics and will get a shot at some heavy minutes behind starters Aron Baynes and Al Horford. Boston will look to make it five straight on Wednesday, and will look to snap Charlotte's five-game winning.
