Marcus Smart has cleared the NBA's Health and Safety Protocols, per the Celtics, as he remains out due to reconditioning.
The veteran guard has missed the last five games and according to coach Ime Udoka, Smart, who is also out against the Portland Trail Blazers -- could be available when the team heads to Washington D.C. on Sunday to face the Wizards.
"Marcus needs a little more time," said Udoka in his pregame presser Friday. "Hopefully we'll have him next game."
Smart was downgraded from questionable to out prior to the Celtics' loss against the Charlotte Hornets, as the team is 3-2 in his absence.
The Celtics look to get back on track as they host the Trail Blazers at TD Garden, beginning at 7:30 PM ET.
