Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo didn't offer a date but vowed to return to the court before the all-star break.
According to Baxter Holmes of the Boston Globe, Rondo was very vague about an exact date but promised to return before the all-star break. Rondo also said that he will probably wake up one day and decide to play so he couldn't be specific about a return date. He doesn't know which day but knows it will happen within the next 33 days.
There was talk about a possible D-League stint but Rondo decided against it. Rondo said he "didn't want to do it. Had a bad dream."
Rondo underwent surgery on his right knee last February.
Despite their six-game losing streak, the Celtics are just one game and a half out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Rondo's return could help his team's chances of making the playoffs.
