Celtics sign D.J. White to 10-day deal

Celtics signed forward D.J. White to a 10-day contract, Thursday afternoon.

White, who will be the third new face since the deadline (Terrence Williams & Jordan Crawford being the others), is a 6-foot-9, 250 pound, 26-year-old who hasn't been in the NBA but has been playing basketball of late.

White played in the Chinese Basketball Association this season for the Shanghai Sharks and has been cleared to play for the Celtics. In 32 games this season, White averaged 21.6 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks a game in China.

White, who was originally drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the 29th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft out of Indiana, played 58 games last season with the Charlotte Bobcats. He averaged 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds.
