Celtics, Rockets suspend trade talks for Asik

After failing to come to an agreement with the Celtics, the Houston Rockets have taken Omer Asik off of the table and are no longer seeking a deal.

Boston had offered a package of Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee, and a first round pick but the two teams couldn't come to an agreement.

According to Yahoo Sports, league sources say Houston general manager Daryl Morey informed Asik's agent of its team's decision Thursday afternoon.

Although trade talks for Asik are dead at the moment, it wouldn't be a surprise if Houston dealt Asik at some point before the February 20 NBA trade deadline. Asik hasn't been happy in Houston ever since they signed Dwight Howard.
