Report: Celtics were upfront with Cavaliers about Isaiah Thomas' hip

According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, who was a guest on The Vertical with Chris Mannix, the Cavaliers didn't discover anything new from Isaiah Thomas' physical that wasn't already initially found by the Celtics prior to last week's blockbuster deal.

After agreeing to send Kyrie Irving to Boston for Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the 2018 Brooklyn Nets pick, Cleveland was reportedly expected to ask the Celtics for an additional asset due to Thomas' most recent physical with the Cavaliers.
"My read is actually from the Cleveland side, and what I hear from there is that nothing they've found is anything different than what was conveyed to the Cavaliers in the trade discussions, and certainly in the medical information that was passed forward," Bulpett said. [The Vertical Podcast]
Bulpett also added that the Cavaliers haven't asked the Celtics for an additional piece -- such as a young prospect like Jaylen Brown or Jason Tatum -- in order to complete the trade, since Thomas' physical. Recent reports suggested Cleveland was expected to do so before the trade's deadline on Wednesday.

Yet, the Cavaliers haven't officially signed off on the deal.
"I don't know for a fact that the Celtics are frustrated, I haven't spoken to anyone that gives me specifically that impression, but that makes perfect sense, because nothing should have surprised the Cavaliers," Bulpett told Mannix. [The Vertical Podcast]
The Celtics and Cavaliers have until the end of Wednesday to complete the swap.
