Jrue Holiday, Al Horford & Sam Hauser out against Pistons

The Celtics will be without Jrue Holiday, Al Horford and Sam Hauser when they host the Detroit Pistons tonight, per the team's injury report.

Jaylen Brown, who sat out in Sunday night's 130-104 win over the Washington Wizards with an ankle sprain was listed as questionable along with Jayson Tatum (ankle impingement) after a 30-point performance in the nation's capital.

Hauser was at least one made 3-pointer away from tying a franchise record of 11 set by Marcus Smart before leaving midway in the third quarter against the Wizards with a rolled left ankle and did not return. The sharpshooter did finish with 30 points on 10-of-13 from behind the arc, but was also four shy of the NBA all-time record of made 3s set by Klay Thompson.

Horford is set to take his usual rest one night of a back-to-back off, as he's been filling for Kristaps Porzingis -- missed the last five straight with a hamstring injury. The veteran big man from the Dominican Republic has averaged 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists, on 42.1% from deep over his last 10 outings.

Meanwhile, speaking of Porzingis, it appears he may finally get to suit up against the Pistons. Holiday is sidelined with a right shoulder contusion, as Derrick White (hand sprain) returns from a one-game absence to most likely be paired in the backcourt with Payton Pritchard -- coming off his first double-double of the season with 14 points, 13 assists off the bench in D.C.

With Horford out, Luke Kornet (14 points, six rebounds and two blocks against the Wizards) and Xavier Tillman will also get some more extended run in the frontcourt.

The Celtics (53-14) look to improve to 31-3 at home, as tip-off against Detroit is at 7:30 pm ET.
