Summer League Game 5: Celtics rookies Rozier & Hunter lead C's to an 85-76 victory over 76ers

Associated Press

The Celtics' two first-round picks, Terry Rosier and R.J. Hunter, combined for 43 points to knock off the Philadelphia 76ers, 85-76.

In their second consecutive win in the Las Vegas Summer League competition, the two draftees scored 21 and 22 points, respectively. Rozier scored a game-high 22 points and 5 assists. And Hunter scored most of his 21 points from the three and from the free throw line. He was 8-for-10 from the charity stripe.

In their first win of the summer without Marcus Smart, Rozier and Hunter took control of the offense and also got others involved. Jordan Mickey put together another impressive stat line. He had 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Jonathan Holmes, who continues to play consistently well for the Celtics, played a good game. At the center position, he was the second player to put together a double-double, 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Celtics wrap up their Las Vegas schedule tomorrow night when they take on the Miami Heat.
