Team USA concluded their exhibition schedule with a 92-88 victory over Germany at the O2 Arena in London Monday night.
Jrue Holiday had another strong all-around performance with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc to go along with six rebounds, four assists and a block in 12 minutes as a starter.
Jayson Tatum scored four points on 2-of-6 from the field without a 3-point attempt, the All-NBA forward also grabbed six rebounds, plus had an assist and a steal in 14 minutes off the bench.
Derrick White also played 14 minutes as a reserve, missing both of his only field goal attempts but hit a pair of free throws to finish with two points. The Celtics guard also recorded one steal and played his usual excellent perimeter defense for Team USA -- who finished a perfect 5-0 in their pre-2024 Summer Olympic tune ups.
LeBron James finished with a game-high 20 points (8-of-11), including the final 11 straight points down the stretch for the U.S. to secure the win. The 39-year-old also tallied six rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in 18 minutes of action.
"It was a good test for us. And I'm glad we were able to once again, you know, keep our composure, persevere like we did the other day versus South Sudan," James told reporters postgame. "It was a good win for us."
Joel Embiid notched 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Stephen Curry added 13 points for Team USA.
Franz Wagner led Germany with 18 points, seven rebounds and Andreas Obst scored 17 points. Former Celtic Dennis Schröder registered a double-double of 13 points, 10 assists and Daniel Theis (seven rebounds) also netted 13 points in the loss.
Team USA will play its first group stage game in a re-match against Serbia at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which is set for July 28 at 11:15 am ET on NBC.
