The Celtics wrapped up Summer League with a 103-98 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers Sunday in Las Vegas.
Jordan Walsh had his best performance in the team's finale scoring 18 points on 7-of-14 from the field, including hitting 4-of-8 from behind the arc -- after going 0-of-22 in his previous four games from long distance -- and also grabbed seven rebounds to lead Boston, who finished with a 2-3 record in Summer League action.
"I feel like I played pretty bad," Walsh told reporters of his overall play in Vegas. "But we came out, won a couple games, had some fun, got to meet new guys, got to play as a team, I feel like I got better as it went on. But I definitely expected more from myself, for sure."
Jaelen House had 17 points, six assists while Tyler Cook added 16 points both off the bench. Rookies Anton Watson scored 15 points and Baylor Scheierman chipped in 13 points, seven rebounds respectively as starters for the C's.
Watson, who had a solid Summer League, was asked after the game about a potential deal as the No. 54 overall pick in last month's NBA Draft.
"I think we're going to figure that out sometime this week," Watson said in his postgame presser of contract talks. "Those conversations are definitely coming."
David Jones led the 76ers with a game-high 23 points, eight rebounds, Jordan Tucker netted 19 off the bench, while Judah Mintz added 18 points, five assists and Jared McCain notched 15 points in the win for Philly -- who concluded their Summer League at 4-1.
Cook put Boston ahead for the first time with 3:45 remaining in the opening quarter on an assist from Watson, before taking a 52-49 advantage into the break.
The 76ers went on a 13-3 run to end the third period and grab an 83-73 lead to start the final frame. The Celtics responded with a 23-10 spurt of their own to knot it up (96-96) with 1:37 left to play on a Scheierman 3-pointer, however the Sixers limited Boston to just two points the rest of the way.
The Celtics were without Jaden Springer, Neemias Queta, Jahmi'us Ramsey, Ron Harper Jr. and JD Davison.
