Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall-of-Fame set to debut new exhibit 'The Vault: Boston Celtics Unlocked'

The Naismith Basketball Hall-of-Fame will debut a new immersive exhibit titled "The Vault: Boston Celtics Unlocked," per a press release late Friday afternoon.

The exhibit dedicated to the sport's most storied franchise is set to be unveiled this summer at the Basketball Hall-of-Fame in Springfield, MA and it will include a collection of displays to honor the history of the Celtics.
"We are excited to launch another state-of-the-art space in the world's finest sports museum," said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame during his press conference at TD Garden. "The Vault: Boston Celtics Unlocked is a limited engagement that will feature a finely crafted experience that will capture the imagination of sports fans and speak to the heart of what makes basketball the world's most popular game."
The approximate 1,100 square-foot bank-style vault will feature memorable items such as the 11 authentic championship rings, including Bob Cousy's from 1957, Sam Jones' from 1959, and Red Auerbach's from 1962 and 1974, alongside Jo Jo White's from 1976, and two of Robert Parish's, among others. Also on display will be Bill Russell's jersey from the 1964-65 season, Ray Allen's worn jersey with champagne stains from Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals, a blazer worn by Tommy Heinsohn during a 1973 White House visit with John F. Kennedy, and a pair of Larry Bird's clogs that he wore when he played for the 1992 Dream Team.
"The Boston Celtics are honored to bring their history and tradition to life with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in The Vault: Boston Celtics Unlocked," said C's Team President Rich Gotham. "We hope fans enjoy this immersive experience, which will showcase unique memorabilia and celebrate the Celtics' storied legacy."
Celtics Hall-of-Famer Paul Pierce and All-Star Jayson Tatum also did voiceovers for various  presentations throughout the exhibit, with an emphasis of the importance of connecting with Celtics' history and even their present-day success.
"This is a storied franchise, and we plan to really represent it," Doleva added.
Visitors can enjoy the exclusive limited-time galley and unique Celtics memorabilia beginning on May 31. Tickets can be purchased online at etix.com or also at the door of the Basketball Hall-of-Fame.
