The Celtics will be without Jayson Tatum Thursday night when they face the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to the team's injury report.
Tatum will miss his first game, due to what the team is calling injury management, since returning from a torn right Achilles last Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.
Derrick White suffered a right knee contusion in the C's 125-116 loss to the Spurs Tuesday and is listed as questionable, while Nikola Vučević fractured his right ring finger last Friday and remains out.
Meanwhile, Payton Pritchard (neck spasms) returns from Tuesday's one-game absence and is listed as available against OKC.
Jaylen Brown also makes a much needed return following his controversial ejection late in the second quarter against the Spurs.
The reigning champion Thunder will be shorthanded when they host the Celtics, as Isaiah Hartenstein (left calf contusion) and Jalen Williams (right hamstring strain) are both out.
With Tatum sidelined, Baylor Scheierman could rejoin the starting lineup where he had initially ended up following the trade deadline moves by the Celtics before Tatum returned last week. The second year wing has averaged 9.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in his last 10 games, while playing 27.7 minutes per contest.
Ron Harper Jr. could also get some increased minutes, especially if White is ruled out, as he is coming off a career-high 22-point performance off the bench -- where he shot 8-of-11 from the field, including 6-of-8 from deep.
It will most likely be a game-time decision on White's availability, after his team-high 34 points in the loss to the Spurs.
The Celtics (43-22) and Thunder (51-15) tip-off at 9:30 pm ET from the Paycom Center and Prime Video will have the broadcast.
