The Celtics are hopeful that Kristaps Porzinigis will make his return to the lineup this week, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The veteran big man is set to miss his fourth straight game tonight with a left calf sprain , when Boston faces the Indiana Pacers in the quarterfinals of the In-Season Tournament.
Porzingis suffered the strain on Nov. 24 and will miss his fourth straight game tonight. So far, no setbacks in his recovery and hope is that continues and allows for return this week. He’s averaging 18.9 points and 6.7 rebounds this season. https://t.co/FqHVSfXgA0

While Porzingis hasn't had any setbacks with the calf injury, which he suffered in a 113-96 loss against the Orlando Magic last week, he could be available to head to Las Vegas to help his teammates in the semifinals and beyond in the tournament to win the first ever NBA Cup -- should the Celtics get past Indiana on the road.
With a victory over the Pacers, the C's would face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks matchup (to be played Tuesday night). If Boston were to loose, they would host the loser of Bucks/Knicks come Friday at TD Garden.
Despite either outcome, Porzingis has at least an additional two days to recover and rehab his calf. The seven-footer has fit in nicely in Boston so far -- averaging 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per contest (15 games), while shooting a career-best 54.7% from the field.
The Celtics at 15-4 (league best) and winners of three straight, tip-off against the Pacers (10-8) tonight at 7:30 pm ET on TNT.
