The Celtics will look to get back on track when they face the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday night, but they will be without Derrick White and Neemias Queta in the lineup.
Queta, who returned in the Celtics' 119-115 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday after missing one game with a sore left ankle, will sit out with what the what team is calling "ankle sprain injury management."
Meanwhile, White is out with a right calf contusion and will miss his first game of the young season, despite being listed as probable in Minnesota - but ending up playing and finished with 16 points, five assists and two blocks.
Prior to the Celtics taking on the T-Wolves, Jaylen Brown (back spasms) and Queta were also listed as questionable, but they both played with Brown tying a season-high 41 points and Queta recording his fourth double-double of the year - including a career-high 18 rebounds to go along with 19 points.
Brown is not on the team's injury report 24 hours later and is available to play as the Celtics are on the second night of a back-to-back.
With White out, look for Anfernee Simons to most likely get the nod as his replacement in the starting lineup alongside Payton Pritchard in the backcourt. Look for Luka Garza and rookie Amari Williams to see increased playing time in Questa's absence as well.
The Cavaliers are also shorthanded with Jarrett Allen (right third finger strain), Lonzo Ball (left knee injury management), Larry Lance Jr. (right calf strain) and Max Strug (left foot surgery) all listed as out.
Boston at 10-9 will tip-off against the 12-8 Cavs tonight in Cleveland at 6:00 pm ET from Rocket Arena. These two teams previously faced off at TD Garden a month ago with the Celtics wining in a 20-point blowout.
