Kristaps Porzingis (back) ruled out against Nets

The Celtics will be without Kristaps Porzingis tonight when the Celtics face the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.

According to head coach Joe Mazzulla, Porzingis is listed as day-to-day with a lower back contusion that he sustained in the team's 110-106 victory over the Miami Heat Sunday.

Porzingis finished with 25 points and nine rebounds -- despite heading to the locker room briefly in the third quarter with the aforementioned back injury after a defensive play against Bam Adebayo. He would return in the final frame, playing a total of 32 minutes in the win.

The veteran big man will miss his 15th game of the season after he was listed as questionable on Monday, due to yet another sort of ailment.

Besides Porzingis, who is averaging 20.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per contest in 39 games so far, newly acquired Xavier Tillman (right ankle) and Jaden Springer (left knee) are both also out for the Celtics.

Look for Al Horford -- averaging 7.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1 block, and 2.8 assists in 44 games -- to make the start in Porzingis' place while Neemias Queta should also see some minutes for Mazzulla when the Celtics tip-off against the Nets, beginning at 7:30 pm ET.
