The Celtics are sitting pretty following their 119-106 Game 2 win over the Atlanta Hawks to take a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-7 first-round series.
Jaylen Brown, who finished with 18 points, provided an update on his shooting hand -- telling reporters that the injury was "getting better each and every day," especially after the cut split open up during Game 1.
The All-Star wing seemed not to be bothered by the injury, as he shot 7-of-14 from field and 2-of-4 from deep, to go along with three steals and two blocks Tuesday night at TD Garden.
However, while his right hand continues to heal, Brown noted that he did get hit in his left shoulder in Game 2 going for rebound.
"I took an elbow or something to my left trap, and it’s a little bruised up right now," he said. "But, at this point in the year, the body is bruised up, and that’s a part of being in the playoffs. I'll be all right."
Having an extra day off is key for Brown and the Celtics, as the series against the Hawks shifts to Atlanta. Game 3 is scheduled for Friday night at 7:00 ET on ESPN.
