Jaylen Brown has earned Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for the fifth time in his career, the NBA announced Monday afternoon.
The All-Star wing becomes the sixth Celtic to win Player of the Week five times, joining Paul Pierce (17), Larry Bird (15), Jayson Tatum (12), Kevin Garnett (five), and Isaiah Thomas (five).

The Celtics finished a perfect 4-0 during the week of December 1, as Brown played in three of those games, averaging 34.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.0 steal per contest while shooting 53.8% from the field, including 47.1% from 3-point range, and 88.9% from the free-throw line.
Brown led Boston to victories over three of the league's top teams, including a 123-117 win over the Knicks, a 126-105 win over the rival Lakers, and a 121-113 win over the Raptors to leapfrog Toronto into third place in the East.
This season, Brown is averaging a career-high 29.1 points on 49.6% from the field, 6.2 rebounds, and also a career-best 4.9 assists -- while hitting 36.3% from three-point range being his best since the 2020-21 campaign.
The Celtics at 15-9 (the third best record in the East), are currently on a five-game win streak. Brown has recorded 30 points on 13 occasions so far, which is tied with Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell for the second-most in the NBA; only behind Oklahoma City Thunder guard and reigning league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Brown's individual performance has resulted in winning even without Jayson Tatum in the lineup, as the Celtics are 10-2 over their last 12 games -- owing the league's second-best offensive rating and fifth-best net rating overall.
Derrick White also nominated for Eastern Conference Player of the Week
Derrick White also received recognition as a nominee for Eastern Conference Player of the Week, along with Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Jalen Johnson (Hawks), Tyrese Maxey (76ers), and Michael Porter Jr. (Nets).
White averaged 24.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in the Celtics four wins this past week, notching a season-high 30 points against the Washington Wizards, the lone game Brown sat out due to illness. After a very tough start to the 2025-26 campaign, White is now putting up 17.5 points and a team-high 5.3 assists per contest.
The Celtics are off until Thursday night when they face the Milwaukee Bucks on the road.
