Come...Brad stevens and danny ainge lose their jobs? Come on man thats pretty extreme. Although I agree with a lot of your points, look at what what the celtics have been able to accomplish with their drafted talent. Marcus Smart is in the top 5 defensive gaurds in the league in my oppinion and would rank there if he was a starter all year. Jaylen Brown...who knows, but i can see a lot of potential with this kid.The Celtics have gotten better each year and will be even next year without making any changes to the current lineup. Lets not forget about the team chemistry too. The celts have been getting better every year and at this point are a legitamate eastern conference contender. Why trade for boogie... or carmello for that matter? These type of players dont have the drive for greatness. They are great players, but lack the intangibles. They are not leaders or winners. Why gamble on a notorious poor sport? Thats a high risk for someone that has never had a winning season. I know everyone these days are obsessed with building dynasty teams after the Cs did it in 08, but lets not forget about the value of a team with great chemistry, good players, and a good coach (ie. Pop and the spurs). Spurs are the patriots of basketball and have won championships consitently without having the most talented team. Boogie Cousins would not have got us past the cavs this year. But next year with a 2 year vet Jalen brown plus the nets draft pick just might... I think passing on Boogie was a good call. Boogie is just a younger dwight Howard.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07638270774787981768noreply@blogger.com
